Of course, this all depends on how you’re connected to your network, as Wi-Fi did show a bit pixillation when playing a few games in testing. For the most part, video is smooth, the audio stays synced, and controls don’t show much, if any lag. You’ll find that Remote Play offers a fairly decent streaming gaming experience. Go to: “PS4 Remote Play” -> “Preferences,” and adjust the resolution and frames per second there. ![]() You can change the settings to 360p or 720p, and up to 60fps, but only when Remote Play isn’t running. Remote Play runs at a default 540p resolution, at 20 frames per second. You’ll be able to control the PS4 remotely, including playing games, by using the DualShock controller you have connected to your Mac via a USB cable. ![]() (You can also manually configure the network connection, but that shouldn’t be necessary.)Īfter the app finds your PS4 and connects to it, you should see the PS4’s home menu in a window on your Mac’s desktop. This should all happen automatically, and should take a few minutes.
